Police announces new postings of CPs to four states April 28, 2020 By Ripples Nigeria The Inspector-General of Police , Mohammed Adamu, Tuesday ordered the posting of four Commissioners of Police to states and police formations. The Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja. Those deployed are Olugbenga Adeyanju (Adamawa), Isaac Akinmoyede (Imo), Audu Madaki, (Force Criminal Investigation Department, Abuja) and Edward Chuka (Plateau). The statement read: “The IGP enjoined the citizens of the affected states to accord the CPs maximum support and cooperation. READ ALSO: APM Terminals staff in Apapa port tests positive for COVID-19 “He charged the newly posted officers to ensure they effectively consolidate and improve on the performances of their predecessors. “The IGP said the postings were with immediate effect.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Nigerian Senate to confirm nominations he has made for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Federal Character Commission and the Federal Civil Service Commission. POLITICS NIGERIA has gathered that the senate received 3 requests from President Buhari on Tuesday. Mr Buhari highlighted that the request for the confirmation of the nominees was in accordance with the provisions of Section 154(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended. Those nominated to serve as Commissioners with the Federal Civil Service Commission are Madugu Jonah for Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau;  Frederick Ekwem for Imo and Abia. The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has declared an overnight curfew from 8pm to 6am nationwide as part of efforts to curtail the spread of COVID-19. He has also ordered what he called “phased and gradual easing” of lockdown measures in the FCT, Lagos and Ogun States effective from Monday. Buhari disclosed this in a nationwide broadcast on Monday.
